Literature Text

since the summer
of ’09 I’ve
had your poison
running through
my veins and
my eyes on
the stars;
we carved our initials
into the spaces
between
my fingers
like two young
romantics
drunk on
salt water
and midnight
promises.

our seasonal bliss
warped
into a five year
addiction wrought
with fire and ice
and forged in
my twisted
need to
hear
see
taste
feel

you.

you are my
bad habit,
the vice
that holds
me in the still
of the night,
bending me
to my
b-r-e-a-k-i-n-g
point—
and if you said
jump, I’d fall
right into
your arms.
you are my demons.

I know iv'e commented on a lot of your work already and maybe i'm getting annoying, I'm sorry. But it's hard not to comment on such beautiful words. I find it hard to resist, because your style is so deep and meaningful, and it just makes you want to die.
